RD5000WL

Tracing buried pipes and cables, whether to locate faults or to avoid utilities during excavation work, can present major difficulties. This can be made even worse in cases where a pipe has rubber seals, insulators or even gaps between sections. These problems, if not overcome, can result in costly repairs, delays and in some instances personal injury.

The RD5000WL Kit has been designed to address these issues. Ease of use is at the heart of the product, coupled with the accuracy, repeatability and reliability you have come to expect from Radiodetection's locator products.

The use of a single high frequency (83kHz) is designed to allow the transmitter signal to jump across isolative joints in pipes and cables and is also ideal for tracing plastic pipes with tracer wires. The signal from the RD5000WLT transmitter can be applied using signal clamps, by direct connection or by induction, where the high frequency output is ideal for travelling through the soil to light up all nearby conductors for blind locates.

RD5000WL Locator

Based around the Centros measurement engine, which comprises over 50 software and hardware patents, the RD5000WL locator has been designed with ease of use and reliable location at its heart.

With light unit weight, great ergonomics and single - button operation, the RD5000WL locator is both straightforward to operate and comfortable to use for extended periods. The rechargeable battery pack (supplied as standard) offers more than a full days operation from a single charge.

Reliable location is delivered by two Radiodetection technologies - ClearTRACK helps ensure reliable location performance by rejecting bleedover signals from other local conductors, and Dynamic Overload Protection automatically filters out large and unwanted signals to improve locate performance in electrically noisy areas.

The Compass display determines and displays the relative orientation of the target cable or pipe, simplifying route determination and helping to improve depth measurement accuracy.

RD500WLT Transmitter

The single‐frequency (83kHz) RD5000WLT transmitter supplied as part of the RD5000WL kit can be used for direct connection, signal clamping or induction methods. With a compact and lightweight form factor and single button operation, the transmitter is designed to work as hard as the RD5000WL locator for extended periods.

The integral lithium - ion rechargeable battery provides more than a full day’s operation from a single charge, the transmitter also has the capability to operate from 4 × standard D - cell (LR20) batteries if required.

Backwards - compatible design ensures that the RD5000WL kit is compatible with the wide range of Radiodetection locator and transmitter accessories.

The RD5000WL kit is supplied as a kit comprising the RD5000WL locator with rechargeable battery pack, RD5000WLT transmitter and a hard case.
